Event Information

This exhibition displays the artworks of “ ID Exchange” which consists of photos and articles. During the exhibition, a talk will be held regarding the concept of “ ID Exchange”. A live game will also occur which invites the audience to exchange their own outfits with eachother to experience their unique “exchange”.

Live Game:  Speed “ ID Exchange”

Our live game will be announced, in early publicity, and the audience is invited to bring their meaningful outfits (one they like or hate, etc) to the event. They will exchange their outfits with eachother, and write to share their feelings about it. Photos will be taken to record this.

Collaborator Information

“ID Exchange” is an original creative project of conceptual photography and writing which has been going since 2005. Until now, it has created 15 sets of artworks.

The method of “ID exchange” is, first to select a person, whom you must know, to be your partner. Two participants choose a set of their own outfits and exchange them. Photos will then be taken at their homes and then an interview will be taken as well; artworks are completed with photos and articles.

“ID exchange” - a project with infinite time possibilities which aims to record the life of Hong Kong residents in different periods of time. To observe and rethink one’s personal identity, it intends to create a long –term research of local lives.

The initial exhibition of “ ID exchange” was presented at the “ International Arts Carnival 2013”. “ ID Exchange – the album of photo and writing” was published and it is a photo album with 12 sets of artwork, it is sold at the Basheer Design Bookstore.

The project continues to search for different people to participate, and to continue to discover life's unique stories.
