Time: 12:30-6pm
Venue: Dominion Garden, Wing Lok Lane, Wan Chai
Hub: Wan Chai

EVENT INFORMATION
Leah’s idea for Very Hong Kong is basic...paper, pens and a big wall to cover up with an expanding communal drawing!

Draw in the Space is about bringing people together through creative doodling. It is the most simple tool that helps us learn, from the time we could hold on to a crayon, to an artist drafting an idea in their sketchbook, it is a stepping stone to bigger projects and so much more.

This project is dedicated to enjoying drawing and encouraging the imagination. Its aim is to inspire and get back to the fundamentals of plain creative pen on a blank canvas.

To start with there will be wall sized paper with unfinished drawings (made with help from volunteer artists) and empty spaces, which the public are invited to fill in with their own landscape and story. People are able to stay and draw for however long they please. Thus each blank gap will eventually be filled in with a different view according to the individual. Be it inspiration from the real world, Hong Kong’s skyline, someone’s day dream window or science fiction window; that’s where the fun lies - in getting to see the outcome of a growing drawing made by many hands and minds. The result and growth of the mural will be displayed online for viewers and participants to check back on.
